DOT-COM DOMAIN STATS.

As of June 2000, there are 13.26 million active dot-com Web sites in the U.S California has 1.89 million of those, or 14 percent, and adds more than 50,000 a month. New York is second with 643,000. Seventeen states have fewer than 50,000 dot-com domains.
