``We started to try harder in the second half, especially the offensive line,'' Nedd said. ``We didn't lose, but I think we played well enough to win if we played better in the first half.''

Dorsey opened a 12-6 halftime lead, scoring two touchdowns on special teams.

Junior quarterback Jonathan Graham, who led the El Camino Real frosh-soph team to a 10-0 record last season, completed 2 of 9 passes for 39 yards but misfired on his last seven attempts. Graham's twin brother Justin had 34 yards on three carries and had one reception for 12 yards.
