DONALD G. VALENTINE JOINS CONTINENTAL AIRLINES AS SENIOR V.P.-MARKETING

 HOUSTON, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Airlines today announced that it has named Donald G. Valentine as senior vice president-marketing, replacing John W. Nelson, who has resigned to pursue other interests.
 Valentine brings to Continental a 22-year marketing career including significant accomplishments at General Foods Corp., Carter Wallace, Anderson Clayton Foods, Dr. Pepper Company and Southwest Airlines. Most recently Valentine was Senior Vice President-Sales & Marketing for Pace Membership Warehouse, Inc., Englewood, Colo.
 In his new position at Continental, Valentine will be responsible for the marketing, sales and international divisions.
 Valentine, 45, holds a B.A. in marketing and an M.B.A. from Texas A&M University, and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He and his wife, Catherine, have three young daughters and will be relocating to the Houston area.
