A MEDIEVAL Halloween night is being staged at Cosmeston Medieval Village Cosmeston Medieval Village is a "living history" village in the Vale of Glamorgan near Penarth and Cardiff in south Wales. Based upon remains discovered during a 1980s archaeological dig in the grounds of Cosmeston Park, it is a re-creation of 14th century peasant life.  near Penarth on October 27 from 6pm-9.30pm.

The 14th Century partially reconstructed medieval village at Cosmeston Lakes Country Park is quite something to see at night.

The moonlight reflecting off the old buildings gives a most impressive atmosphere.

On the night of October 27 the Village will be holding its annual Halloween event with something for everyone.

There will be games and a fancy dress competition for the children, spooky spook·y

 tales will be told in the candlelit can·dle·lit

Illuminated by candles: a candlelit ceremony. 
 buildings while the Cosmeston mummers perform a ghostly play.

Rumour has it that a lady accused of witchcraft will have two of the village's finest warriors fighting to prove her innocence - or guilt!

And for those who need some liquid courage, they can always visit the Ivy Bush (Bot.) See Mountain laurel, under Mountain.
