The state Legislature's delay in approving a budget this year left the local center hurting as it waits several weeks for its state allocations. The center, which needs funding just to make its monthly budget, hopes to sell 400 carwash tickets to raise close to $4,000. Tickets are available by calling the center at (661) 259-8175. Tickets are on sale for $10 for a wash that normally sells for $17.99.
