DOLLAR GENERAL REPORTS INCREASED SALES FOR OCTOBER.

: DG) today reported total retail sales for the four weeks ended Nov. 1, 1996, equaled $162.7 million compared with $142.0 million in 1995, an increase of 14.6 percent. Same store sales Same Store Sales

For the third quarter ended Nov. 1, 1996, Dollar General total retail sales equaled $508.0 million compared with $428.9 million in the same period a year ago, an increase of 18.5 percent. Same store sales for the period increased 6.5 percent.
