DOLLAR GENERAL REPORTS INCREASED SALES FOR OCTOBER.NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 7, 1996--Dollar General Corp. (NYSE NYSE See: New York Stock Exchange : DG) today reported total retail sales for the four weeks ended Nov. 1, 1996, equaled $162.7 million compared with $142.0 million in 1995, an increase of 14.6 percent.
