DOLLAR GENERAL NAMES BRUCE W. KRYSIAK PRESIDENT.

:DG) announced the appointment of Bruce W. Krysiak as president. Krysiak will assume his responsibilities as president in January 1997.

Krysiak succeeds Cal Turner, Jr. as president. Turner remains chairman and CEO.
