Dole is now in the process of building its world headquarters on a 160,500-square-foot parcel north of the freeway and west of Lindero Canyon Road. The preliminary proposal for the second phase of the project calls for a six-story, 140-room hotel and spa, as well as a five-story office building of 180,320 square feet. The council reviewed Dole's proposal at its Wednesday night meeting, but took no action. The company was seeking the council's initial comments and reaction to its plans, said Scott Wolfe, the city's associate planner. Now the planners will revise their plans and possibly make a formal presentation to the city, Wolfe said. Officials at Castle & Cooke Properties, Dole's builders, were unavailable to comment. The proposed buildings seemed too long, thin and high for Westlake Village, said Councilman James Henderson James Henderson may refer to:
