DOL issues frequently asked questions on small pension plan audit waiver regulation.


The Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration recently issued frequently asked questions about the audit waiver The voluntary surrender of a known right; conduct supporting an inference that a particular right has been relinquished.

 has received a variety of questions on how to determine whether a small plan has met the conditions for the audit waiver under the amended regulations, which imposed additional conditions for small pension plans to be exempt from the annual audit requirement.
