DOGS WILL HAVE THEIR DAY AT BARK AT THE PARK IN A.V.

LANCASTER -- Dogs that look like their masters, dogs that catch flying discs and even dogs that sing will compete today in Lancaster's annual Bark at the Park.

A pet costume contest, hound and human interactive games, food, vendors and specialty dog acts are among the other activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lancaster City Park, 43011 10 St. West.

Other activities include agility demonstrations, canine good citizen The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program, established in 1989, is an American Kennel Club program to promote responsible dog ownership and to encourage the training of well-mannered dogs.  tests, a CaninEnstein test to measure a dog's IQ, and a trick contest.

Polite, leashed dogs with current vaccinations are welcome, organizers said. No retractable re·tract

The event will also include splash dog demo in which dogs jump into a pool. For $10, owners can let their dogs practice their diving skills, too. The money will be refunded if the dog decides against taking a splash.

Also performing will be Kyra Sundance, whose Weimaraner Chalcy has appeared with Jay Leno Jay Leno (born April 28, 1950) is an Emmy-winning American comedian, writer who is best known as the current host of NBC television's long-running variety and talk program The Tonight Show. Biography
Leno was born in New Rochelle, New York.

An animal shelter is a facility that houses homeless, lost or abandoned animals; primarily a large variety of dogs and cats.
