``It's actually a blessing that the movie wasn't made before, because the technology didn't exist to do it in a way that looks realistic and captures that excitement,'' says Ziskin. ``It was a two-year effort to develop the kinds of effects that allow you to have a character that swings between buildings and shoots webs ... and, of course, he wouldn't be Spider-Man if he didn't do those things.
