The U.S. Dept. of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy The United States Department of Energy´s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) mission is to strengthen America's energy security, environmental quality, and economic vitality in public-private partnerships. has published a toolbook A courseware development and e-learning authoring system for Windows from SumTotal Systems, Inc., Mountain View, CA (www.sumtotalsystems.com) that uses a "page and book" metaphor analogous to Apple's HyperCard "card and stack." Its OpenScript language is also similar to HyperTalk. designed to identify financing sources for energy efficiency and pollution prevention technologies. It discusses background, options and strategies, case studies, federal programs, state programs and sponsors. It can be downloaded at www.oitdoe.gov/working/fn_toolbook/.
