 DOE ISSUES SCHEDULE FOR 1992 NATIONAL SCIENCE BOWL
 The 1992 National Science Bowl is an academic competition


focusing on mathematics and science. Thirty teams from 23 states and Puerto Rico qualified for the national finals by winning regional science bowls hosted by Department of Energy National Laboratories and other scientific facilities across the country. The teams will be competing for the National Science Bowl and related prizes, including international and domestic science trips, computer equipment and link-up to the National Education Supercomputer at DOE's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
 National Science Bowl Competition:
 WHEN: April 26 at 1 p.m.
 April 27 at 10 a.m.
 WHERE: U.S. Department of Energy

 NOTE: For updates and other information during the event,

 Students participating in the National Science Bowl will also be treated to a full schedule of events, tours and ceremonies separate from the competition aspect of the science bowl. These events include:
 -- The National Science Bowl Fair at INTELSAT -- April 24 at
 6 p.m.
 -- National Science Bowl Opening Ceremony at the Carnegie
 Institution -- April 25 at 6:30 p.m.
 -- National Science Bowl Awards Luncheon at the National Press
 Club -- April 27 at noon.
