The Dodgers decided to tender contracts to all six of their arbitration-eligible players and on Friday signed infielder Alex Cora José Alexander (Alex) Cora (born October 18, 1975 in Caguas, Puerto Rico) is a utility infielder for the Boston Red Sox of Major League Baseball. Cora avoided arbitration by signing. Pitchers Eric Gagne, Guillermo Mota Guillermo Reynoso Mota (born July 25, 1973 in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic) is a Major League Baseball relief pitcher who is currently on the New York Mets.  and Odalis Perez, infielders Adrian Beltre and Jolbert Cabrera Jolbert Cabrera [HOLE-bert kah-BRAY-rah] (born December 8, 1972 in Cartagena, Colombia) is a baseball outfielder/infielder who until recently played with the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks in Japan's Pacific League.  and outfielder Dave Roberts will have their salaries determined either through the process or, more commonly, through further negotiation that can continue independently.

Today is the deadline for teams to tender contracts. Players and teams will exchange salary figures next month, and arbitration hearings are in February.

But there's no guarantee all six players will be with the Dodgers in 2004, as Mota and Perez have been in the forefront of trade talks and teams have also inquired about Beltre.

The Dodgers' biggest payout will be to Gagne, who fell 18 days short of qualifying for arbitration last winter and thus only had his contract renewed and didn't receive any bonus for winning the National League Cy Young Award.
