``Our bullpen was extremely good throughout the homestand,'' Tracy said. Nunez, who has never pitched above Single-A, is 0-1 with an 11.25 ERA in three games. --Prokopec down: To activate right-hander Kevin Brown on Tuesday, the Dodgers will send rookie right-hander Luke Prokopec to Triple-A Las Vegas. The 22-year-old Prokopec filled in for Brown and was impressive in winning Friday's start, holding the Giants to one run on four hits in 7 2/3 innings. Prokopec spent last season at Double-A San Antonio before getting a September call-up to L.A. ``I really don't mind going back to Triple-A,'' Prokopec said. ``Look at our (rotation). I don't belong in there.'' The Australian, who spent the first 2 1/2 years of his minor-league career as an outfielder, is considered by many the team's top prospect and figures to be back. ``This is a young guy who has never thrown a pitch in Triple-A,'' Tracy said. ``We have not had the luxury here over the last couple of years to be in a position to allow a young pitcher to continue and fulfill his learning curve. I think it's to his benefit, the organization's benefit, it's the right thing to do.'' --Brown still set: Brown passed his final rehab tests Sunday and is scheduled to make his season debut Tuesday in Phoenix. Out since March 23 with a strained Achilles' tendon, he ran the bases Sunday and pitched on the side. ``He looked perfect,'' Williams said. ``He ran full speed and went through different situations on the bases.'' |
