 manager Jim Tracy
This article is about the baseball manager. For the member of the Tennessee Senate, see Jim Tracy (politician).
James Edwin Tracy (born December 31 1955 in Hamilton, Ohio) is a former manager in Major League Baseball who most recently led the Pittsburgh
, Green's struggles have everything to do with him not being in a groove and nothing to do with Gary Sheffield's departure.

``What are we, about 50 at-bats into the season?'' Tracy said. ``If I can remember last year, he hit 49 home runs and I don't think he set the world on fire in the early part of the season, either. Gary was here at that point, too. I don't see them pitching around him right now. I don't see that.''

Green batted .301 with six homers and 19 RBI in the first month of last year's record-setting season, but he also was equally abysmal in the first 15 games: 13 for 56 (.232) with four homers and eight RBI.

What Tracy sees is Green struggling against every pitcher not named Mike Hampton Michael William Hampton (born September 9, 1972 in Brooksville, Florida, U.S.) is a Major League Baseball starting pitcher who plays for the Atlanta Braves. He bats right-handed and throws left-handed. Hampton is well-known for being one of the best active hitting pitchers. . For some reason, the left-handed Green is a lifetime .750 hitter against the left-handed Hampton. Green entered Wednesday's game at Coors Field Coordinates:

10 for 12 against him and went 2 for 4 with an RBI and two strikeouts, including one with the bases loaded and one out in the second inning.

But Tracy said Green, who went 5 for 35 on the nine-game trip, isn't the reason the offense can't score runs.

``I think it's important we get going offensively, period,'' Tracy said. ``Shawn Green needs to get going and he knows that, and a few other guys. So I don't want to sit here and have anyone think Shawn Green is being singled out. I don't do "I Don't Do" was the debut single by glamour model Michelle Marsh, released on 6 November 2006. The single reached 27 in the UK in its first week, selling only 9,000 copies and over 16,000 copies as of January 2007. The single spend a total of four weeks in the Top 75.  things like that with my players. I don't play that way. Collective effort.''

--Brown questionable: Staff ace Kevin Brown The name Kevin Brown can refer to several different people, including the following:
  • Kevin Brown (baseball) (b. 1965), a former Major League Baseball right-handed starting pitcher with 211 career wins
  • Kevin D. Brown (b.

Brown will be examined by team physician Dr. Frank Jobe today at Dodger Stadium.

what's going to occur,'' Evans said. ``We're going to continue to assess it.''

Left-hander Omar Daal
Omar José Daal (born February 23, 1972 in Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for 11 seasons, from 1993 through 2003.
is starting in place of Brown today against San Diego, but the Dodgers don't need a fifth starter again until April 27.

--Karros, by default? Tracy said he tossed and turned about whether to start Eric Karros at first base in a day game after a night game. He was dealing with several factors that made it more difficult.

``There are no definitive choices,'' Tracy said. ``My other two choices would have been to play (catcher Paul) Lo Duca at first base or bring Shawn Green in from right field and play him at first base, and I don't want to do that.''

Karros usually scorches the ball at Coors Field, where he is hitting .366 with 19 homers. He also was 5 for 8 in the first two games of the series. But he was just 3 for 22 lifetime against Hampton.

Karros started and went 0 for 4 with a walk.
