The Dodgers staged another internal housecleaning house·clean·ing

 Friday, firing vice president of public relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  John Olguin, public relations staffer Chris Gutierrez and broadcasting and publications supervisor Paul Gomez.

One source with knowledge of the situation, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said the decision to dismiss the three was made by team president Jamie McCourt. ``As a matter of policy, the Dodgers do not comment on personnel matters, but I can confirm they are no longer with the organization,'' Mullens said. ``They made valuable contributions to the organization during their tenures, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors.''

Johnston also held various other key roles in the Clinton-Gore administration during its eight-year run, including as Midwest communications Midwest Communications, Inc. is a Wausau, Wisconsin based radio station owner notable because of its size and potential for influencing the marketplace and public perceptions. Olguin was given the title of vice president when Miereanu was dismissed, but had been with the organization for all but one year since 1991.
