DOD to require e-payment.The Defense Department plans to require contractors to submit requests for payment in electronic form beginning Oct. 1. The 2001 Defense Authorization Act ordered the department to process contractor payments electronically. A proposed rule was published in the May 31 Federal Register to implement the law.
