DOC RAPED ME WHILE I WAS ASLEEP; Teenager attacked after sex session, court told.
A GYNAECOLOGIST raped a teenager as she slept on the floor of his hospital flat, a court heard yesterday.
Shortly before the 19-year-old woman had made love to a complete stranger. When he left and she fell asleep, Dr Rowland Williamson-Taylor slipped out of bed and had sex with her.
Patrick Griffiths, prosecuting, told Swansea Crown Court she awoke to find the doctor - a specialist in obstetrics - on top of her.
He said: "Not surprisingly she was shocked. She was not even attracted to him. As soon as she realised what was happening she moved her body to one side.
"He jumped up and got back into bed. She pulled up her pants and trousers and rushed out of the room."
Mr Griffiths said Williamson-Taylor, a house doctor at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, west Wales, bumped into the girl and her two friends as they all left Minnie's nightclub in the town centre.
He invited them back to his flat for late night drinks. As they talked, two youths approached and he invited them too.
Once back at his flat in the hospital grounds the group started pairing off.
The complainant had sex with one youth, Williamson-Taylor, 39, with one of her friends.
The five visitors could not afford a taxi to their homes in Milford Haven, 10 miles away.
Williamson-Taylor gave them bedding. The woman and her new boyfriend slept on the floor while he occupied a single bed.
Mr Griffiths said: "The girl had sexual intercourse in the presence of the defendant, who was facing away. They did not make much noise so as not to wake him.
"After they had finished having intercourse she went to sleep while her partner got up and went into another room.
"Williamson-Taylor got out of bed and raped her. The prosecution do not suggest it was a violent rape - he did not need to use violence because she was asleep."
The woman woke her friends and they left the flat. The group walked into the hospital and made a complaint.
Williamson-Taylor was arrested. He told police the woman had consented and had "actively participated". He denies rape. The trial continues.
