New York City NYC New York City Construction Codes. The initiative includes training sessions focused on the differences between the new NYC Construction Codes and the current NYC Building Code. The initiative is designed to ensure the stakeholders Stakeholders All parties that have an interest, financial or otherwise, in a firm-stockholders, creditors, bondholders, employees, customers, management, the community, and the government. who will use the Codes on a daily basis have a solid understanding of the new Codes before they go into effect on July 1, 2008. The Department's outreach Outreach is an effort by an organization or group to connect its ideas or practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public. initiative will focus on training staff at professional organizations within the industry so that they may in turn train their own memberships. The Department will also update its website in the coming weeks to provide training materials for industry members to educate themselves. In these ways, the Department expects to leverage public expertise to achieve the greatest impact possible. The new NYC Construction Codes, enacted by Mayor Michael R.
