Array microscopy -- DMetrix's products are digital microscope systems that include a closely packed array of 80 miniature microscopes in a computer-controlled assembly. This unprecedented microscope design permits much 5-60 times faster scanning of tissue samples than conventional, single-lens microscopes. Beyond the simultaneous use of multiple lenses, DMetrix's offerings incorporate advanced optical designs that enable high-resolution imaging of microscope slides and sophisticated software tools for rapid viewing and efficient management of the resultant images, each of which has more than a billion pixels See pixel.  of information.
