Three firms, including DMR Architects, have been selected to participate in the 2001 Facade Improvement Grant Program. In 2000, the Newark Downtown District established a Facade Improvement Grant program to help revitalize the downtown area. The program helps owners improve their building facades by replacing poorly designed or dilapidated signs and other attachments with new ones that are well-designed and well-crafted; allow the architectural elements of the buildings to be seen and appreciated; and improve the overall streetscape.
