DMA promotes antidrug campaign. (Parterships).

Direct marketers have signed on to support a White House antidrug initiative. Through a partnership with the Office of National Drug Control Policy, the Direct Marketing Association, New York City, will enlist the support of its members in delivering antidrug messages to the nation's youth and their families.

DMA will promote the National Youth Antidrug Media Campaign (www.mediacampaign.org) to its member companies through its Web site, daily e-mail bulletin, and biweekly newsletter. DMA's staff will also receive parenting resources. Prior to the formal partnership announcement, at least 10 of DMA's member companies had already decided to support the antidrug media campaign through such efforts as including drug-prevention messages in more than 20 million direct-mail pieces.
