DMA nonprofit federation gets new leadership.


Angie Moore of The American Cancer Society American Cancer Society,
n.pr established in 1913, this national volunteer-based health organization is committed to the elimination of cancer through prevention and treatment and to diminishing cancer suffering through advocacy, scholarship, research,
 in Atlanta and Tim Burgess of The Domain Group in Seattle were selected as the incoming chair and vice chair, respectively, of The Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation Advisory Council.

Their terms will run for the 2005-2007 term of the organization's Advisory Council. Moore currently serves as chair of the DMANF DMANF Direct Marketing Association Nonprofit Federation  Education Committee. Burgess currently serves as chair of the Federation's Ethics Committee.

The Federation also appointed seven new representatives from the nonprofit community to the Advisory Council, bringing the total membership to 26. The new Nonprofit Council Members are: Patty Ruch, director, direct response marketing, American Diabetes Association The American Diabetes Association, or the ADA, is an American health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy. Founded in 1940, the American Diabetes Association conducts programs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, reaching hundreds of , Mary Arnold, director of development, Christian Children's Fund Christian Children's Fund (CCF) is an international child-sponsorship group based in Richmond, Virginia that provides assistance to communities in 31 countries. According to the organization, it has assisted more than 13.2 million children and families. , Joel MacCollam, president, World Emergency Relief, and Barbra Schulman, director, direct mail, March of Dimes

March of Dimes is the name of a United States health charity, whose mission is to improve the health of babies.

The new Corporate Partner Members are: Geoffrey Peters, president, Creative Direct Response, Kristin McCurry, president, MINDset Direct, and Chris Paradysz, president, ParadyszMatera.

"Our Advisory Council provides guidance and direction for the organization for the benefit of the nonprofit organizations nationally that count on direct response fundraising," said DMANF Executive Director Senny Boone.
