DJ Clue Leaves Hot 97 for Power 105, Cipha Sounds Signed by MTV

Clue will now take the helm of the 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. slot at Power 105 in direct competition with Hot 97’s renowned veteran Funkmaster Flex Aston George Taylor Jr., better known as Funkmaster Flex (born August 5, 1968 in The Bronx) is a popular hip hop DJ on New York City's Hot 97 radio station, where his weekly show has a 10% market share. , who holds down the 7 p.m. – 12 a.m. slot.

He is most well known, though, for his role on New York radio station Hot 97, where he DJs on Saturday afternoons and fills in for various other DJs, such , an on-air radio personality on Hot 97. The deal will have Cipha hosting MTV’s Direct Effect more regularly, as well as working on various projects for MTV Overdrive MTV Overdrive is MTV's newest broadband video channel. On the site, viewers can see new videos, extra footage of MTV shows, and much more. The site has now been emulated by MTV's sister networks VH1 (with VSPOT), CMT (with Loaded), Nickelodeon (with TurboNick and MTV Wireless.

“When I consider everything I’ve done in my career so far I’d have to say this ranks as one of my highest accomplishments,” Cipha Sounds said via a press release statement. “I’m excited and ready to bring more of the hotness to MTV.”
