On Wednesday, school board President Norman Walker said his panel would review a report from the school district's lawyer, Eric Bathen, who has been handling negotiations with Parker. ``We'll discuss all the implications and various details of the matter. I don't anticipate any action coming out of the meeting, but it is possible,'' said Walker, who declined to say exactly what decision the board was poised to make. The school board has declined to describe the nature of the conflict with Parker. Parker, who could not be reached for comment, began in Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969. in January. Although that amount comes to about $162,000, Bathen said that at this time there was no way to determine exactly how much Parker might be paid. ``Through negotiations, you never know what they'll come up with,'' he said. When asked about the contract negotiations, Walker would say only, ``I think we understand our options.'' Though Walker declined to give details of the board's discussion tonight, the meeting's agenda listed the reason for the closed session as ``dismissal and release of superintendent.'' Though the board could reassign Parker within the district, Walker said he didn't expect that to happen. In fact, Walker said he hopes the board will chose an interim superintendent by early July.
