DISTRICT TO DISCUSS EASING TEENS' LOAD.

LANCASTER - Sharing parents' concerns that carrying heavy backpacks could affect students' health, high school district trustees have scheduled a Wednesday study session on the issue.

``As one board member, I'm anxious to find out what was developed at the sites and with parents. They will be sharing that with the board,'' said board President Bill Olenick. ``We will see what our options are and the price tags that go with it.''

The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the district office, 44811 Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. Olenick said Wednesday that reinstalling lockers would be too expensive. Other options that might be explored include making a second set of textbooks available to students or doing homework through computers, Olenick said.
