The college is negotiating with the owners of two parcels totaling about 10 acres near Eldridge Avenue and Harding Street, about two blocks away, officials said. Another alternative would be to figure out a way to build on the existing campus. Time is critical because the college received $13 million in state money for its physical education building, with the stipulation that it be under construction by 2007, said Larry Eisenberg, the community college district's executive director for facilities management The management of a user's computer installation by an outside organization.
