Thanks to the Disney Store and generous shoppers, the Boys & Girls Club recently received a donation of 25 backpacks and lunch totes to be distributed to needy club members.

The donation is part of a nationwide back-to-school promotion held in late July at more than 300 Disney stores nationwide. Customers were invited to purchase two backpacks or two lunch totes at a discounted two-for-one price, with one of the items being donated to the Boys & Girls Club.

The backpacks will be distributed to local club members who are in need of school supplies.

``The staff will get together to decide which kids should receive them,'' Ventress said.
