The Walt Disney Co. is making a foray into the world of financial advising with next month's release of ``Money Rock,'' a collection of finance-themed songs that will teach kids - and probably a lot of parents, too - about money.

The home-video primer has seven songs covering banks, weekly allowances, checking accounts and Wall Street. The federal budget is covered by Tax Man Max and Tyrannosaurus Debt.

``Money Rock'' is one of five ``Schoolhouse Rock'' videos that Disney will release to retailers beginning July 21 at a suggested price of $14.99 each.

The animated cartoons on ``Money Rock'' run about four minutes each and offer a lighthearted view of the often-cold world of money.

``We make a decent living, it's true, but we gotta pay these bills when they come due,'' a father tells his son in ``Where the Money Goes.'' ``Now when a man had to settle, he pulled out coins of precious metal'' is part of the history of barter in ``This for That.''

``Money Rock'' uses the same style as ABC's Saturday morning series ``Schoolhouse Rock.'' The video collection includes ``Grammar Rock,'' ``America Rock,'' ``Multiplication Rock'' and ``Science Rock.''
