 Co. announced Thursday that Zenia Mucha Zenia Mucha is Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications at Disney. She is a former political operative of Republican New York governor George Pataki.

 has been named chief spokeswoman for the entertainment conglomerate.

``In every position throughout her career, she's earned the respect of both her peers and of the national media,'' Eisner added. ``She also has an impressive track record of leadership in both the public and private sectors.''

Mucha joined Disney in February 2001 as senior vice president of communications for the ABC television network and other ABC divisions. Prior that that, she spent seven years working for Pataki first as director of communications Director of Communications is a position in the private and public sectors. The Director of Communications is responsible for managing and directing an organization's internal and external communications.  then as a senior policy adviser. She also served as press representative then communications director to former U.S. Sen. Alfonse D'Amato.

Mucha's new responsibilities will include assuming overall responsibility for the communications policies and strategic position of Disney and its various segments including media networks, theme parks and resorts, studio entertainment and consumer products. She will also continue to have an active role in communications management of the ABC divisions.

Eisner praised Dreyer's ``vast contributions to our success over the years'' and said Dreyer will become a consultant to Disney on communications issues. Dreyer, who had served in the position for 10 years and been with Disney since 1977, left to ``pursue other opportunities,'' according to a statement released by Disney.
