DISNEY AND AAA ANNOUNCE NEW PARTNERSHIP

 ATHENS, Greece, Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Walt Disney Attractions and the American Automobile Association today announced a multi-faceted strategic partnership that includes exciting new programs for AAA members and clubs with Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort.
 Disney Attractions President of Marketing and Entertainment Tom Elrod made the announcement during the 13th annual AAA Travel Industry conference in Athens.
 "This is an unprecedented program created exclusively with AAA," said Elrod. "AAA members represent a significant portion of our attendance, and our goal is to make them feel extra-special in their overall vacation experience -- from planning to arrival at our resorts and in our theme parks."
 "AAA's long-term strategies focus on a commitment to travel and tourism," said Graeme Clarke, vice president, AAA Travel, Marketing & Financial Services. "Establishing this new relationship with Disney creates greater opportunities than ever before for our members to visit Disney resorts and theme parks."
 The first in a series of Disney/AAA programs will be effective spring 1994; others will follow:
 -- The Disney Information Center in Ocala, Fla., located on Interstate I-75, will be renamed the Disney/AAA Travel Center -- the first in a series of joint travel centers to be located nationwide. Guests can obtain general travel information from AAA professionals, purchase Disney theme park tickets and merchandise, and book hotel reservations;
 -- New point-to-point, all-inclusive drive vacations from anywhere in the country to Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland will be offered. These AAA/Disney Drive-Away packages feature an exclusive AAA Triptik, an interactive kid's traveling kit complete games, puzzles and audio-cassettes designed to make cross-country travel fun and educational. Packages also include hotel accommodations en route to and from Disney, plus complete vacation packages to Disneyland or Walt Disney World;
 -- For the first time, AAA members will enjoy year-round resort specials -- up to 20 percent off -- at selected Walt Disney World resorts;
 -- Designated "AAA Preferred Parking" will be available at Walt Disney World in Florida, and at Disneyland in California, for AAA members who purchase select theme park tickets and vacation packages;
 -- National cooperative advertising programs will appear in television and print, AAA publications, Tourbooks and Triptiks.
