This is the first time local TV channels are available by satellite TV in the Ft. Wayne area, providing an alternative to local cable TV service. Local channels will be offered at $5.99 per month for DISH Network customers in Ft. Wayne. Customers can call DISH Network or a local satellite TV retailer to learn how to get a free multi-satellite dish antenna required to receive the local channels in Ft. Wayne. DISH Network also provides digital video recording technologies and high definition TV channels to Ft. Wayne.

Wayne customers in 10 Indiana counties including: Adams, Allen, De Kalb, Huntington, Jay, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells and Whitley and Paulding and Van Wert counties in Ohio This is a list of the eighty-eight counties in the U.S. state of Ohio. The Ohio Constitution allows counties to set up a charter government as many cities and villages do, but only Summit County has done so. .

With the addition of Ft. Wayne, DISH Network offers local channels in a total of 105 cities and their metro areas in 47 states nationwide, plus the District of Columbia District of Columbia, federal district (2000 pop. 572,059, a 5.7% decrease in population since the 1990 census), 69 sq mi (179 sq km), on the east bank of the Potomac River, coextensive with the city of Washington, D.C. (the capital of the United States). .

DISH Network now offers local channels as part of its new Digital Home Advantage promotion. This promotion allows customers free installation for up to four TVs, with no commitment and no hardware to buy, starting at $29.99 per month. This includes more than 60 popular TV channels such as ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network , Discovery and the Food Network, as well as local Ft. Wayne TV channels. DISH Network has frozen the lowest all digital TV price through January 2005.
