This is the first time local TV channels are available on DISH Network satellite in the New Orleans area, providing an alternative to local cable TV service. Starting at $29.99 per month, this plan offers customers free installation for up to four TVs, with no commitment and no hardware to buy and includes more than 60 popular TV channels such as ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network , Discovery and USA Network, plus local New Orleans TV channels.

Customers can call DISH Network or a local satellite TV retailer to learn how to get a free multi-satellite dish antenna required to receive New Orleans-area local channels. DISH Network also provides digital video recording technologies, high definition TV and more than 60 international channels to the New Orleans area.

With the addition of New Orleans, DISH Network offers local channels in 145 markets, including all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia District of Columbia, federal district (2000 pop. 572,059, a 5.7% decrease in population since the 1990 census), 69 sq mi (179 sq km), on the east bank of the Potomac River, coextensive with the city of Washington, D.C. (the capital of the United States). .

For customers who do not subscribe to Digital Home Advantage, local channels will be available at $5.99 per month.
