Broadcasts today announced the launch of a business television service for The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW See Video for Windows. ).

The VFW is committed to delivering community service programs and special projects to its 2.7 million members. The organization will now use the DISH Network platform to distribute training broadcasts to reach more members nationwide.

The VFW broadcast its first business television program via DISH Network earlier this summer when 5,000 VFW members participated in a three-hour live training symposium symposium

Based on the response from this broadcast, the VFW plans to add a minimum of 70 additional posts to their network by next year.

"We have received very positive feedback," says Ray Sisk, national senior vice-commander of the VFW. "We saw an increase in participation, and we attribute this to the convenience of the broadcast that members could access at posts or if they subscribed to DISH Network they could even tune in from home."

DNBS and Flying Colors Broadcasts exhibited a booth at the VFW's 103rd national convention in Nashville, Aug. 24-30, at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. More than 15,000 veterans from the Veterans of Foreign Wars are expected to attend this year's convention.

"In our business we see lots of valuable content for veterans with little means for distribution," said Constance Chatfield-Taylor, president of Flying Colors Broadcasts. "Perhaps the VFW Television Network will provide the perfect communications platform for reaching veterans nationwide."
