DISC Introduces New Entry Level Optical Jukeboxes; Family of Enterprise Jukeboxes Now Range from 130 Gigabytes to 2.7 Terabytes.

MILPITAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 11, 1996--DISC, Incorporated (NASDAQ:DCSR) today introduced two new models to expand its family of optical jukeboxes. The new models, D50 and D60, are capable of storing 130 gigabytes and 156 gigabytes respectively with either 2 or 4 optical disk drives.

These new models feature multi-disk removable magazines, a durable mechanism with a mean swaps between failure rating of 1 million, and a rapid four second disk exchange time. Such performance and reliability are a must in the mission critical, enterprise applications where DISC's high capacity products are employed today.
