Prior to joining DIRECTV, Slenker served as executive vice president of Engineering and Operations for FOX Television Stations The Fox Television Stations (FTS) are a group of television stations located throughout the United States which are owned-and-operated by the Fox Broadcasting Company. In this position, Slenker was responsible for the implementation and execution of all technology decisions, technical station upgrades and overseeing various station engineering staffs. He also managed the digital TV build-out for all FOX owned and operated stations across the country. In addition, Slenker served as senior vice president, chief technology officer for ASkyB from 1996-97, and prior to that was vice-president, Engineering and Operations at FOX WTTG-TV in Washington D.C. from 1991-96. Slenker was born and raised in New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States.
