Huggins will draw from her decade of service in the Boys & Girls Club of the Portland area as she welcomes kids to the brand-new Canyon Country clubhouse near Stillmore Street and Whites Canyon Road. She's even hoping for a gift from city government: an occupancy permit by her 31st birthday on June 16. ``I've been involved with the Boys & Girls Club in either a volunteer or employee capacity since 1993,'' she said. ``When I was looking for Looking for In the context of general equities, this describing a buy interest in which a dealer is asked to offer stock, often involving a capital commitment. In Oregon, Huggins worked as the director of YouthLink, an anti-drug and anti-alcohol program aimed at teens. She continued her work in substance-abuse education when she moved to California last year and became senior state coordinator with Project Alert, a private company that provides substance-abuse education to teachers and school administrators. Huggins said she was only 10 years old when she started working with children, and she gained more than some baby-sitting money from the experience. ``I always knew I wanted to work with kids,'' she said. ``In high school, I joined 4-H. Back then, I was pretty shy, but now I can pretty much hold my own.'' After sloshing through rainy Oregon weather, Huggins enjoys the year- round hiking opportunities in California. She had a similar experience at a satellite Boys & Girls Club in Oregon. ``There was an alternative junior high school that shared our club in Portland,'' she said. ``They used the building from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and we opened at 2 p.m. for our elementary school elementary school: see school. members. But right now, she's got her sights set on taking the Canyon Country club up a notch. ``I want to make this unit the best in the valley,'' she said, smiling. ``I want to help all the youth reach their full potential and help the community embrace the center.''
