DINING BEAT : JUST CALL IT BUKY'S.

Buky's County Line in Tarzana has dropped the County Line to go by simply Buky's.

Owner Phil Buky was forced to change the name by a lawsuit in federal court by the County Line on the Lake chain of restaurants in Texas.

Buky's, a barbecue, steak and entertainment spot at 18588 Ventura Blvd., Tarzana, has a full bar, with Bill Baker performing.

Let the festivals begin

It's the big weekend of festivals next weekend with, of course, the star being Wolfgang Puck's annual fund-raiser Sept. 27 on the Universal Studios back lot, with proceeds going to Meals on Wheels n. 1. A program that delivers hot meals to persons, such as the elderly or disabled, who are confined to their homes and unable to cook for themselves; also, the meals thus delivered. Such programs are usually conducted by governmental or charitable organizations.  and other charities.

Puck's American Wine American wine production in the United States wine has existed for over 300 years. Today wine production exist in all fifty states, with California leading the way in wine production followed by Washington State, Oregon and New York.[1].  and Food Festival, a party that lasts all evening, brings in chefs from around the nation and, this year, from Austria as well. Then there's the Tastes of Sunset, a two-day event at the Pasadena Convention Center The Pasadena Convention Center is a 2,850-seat multi-purpose arena in Pasadena, Texas, USA. It hosts locals sporting events and concerts and will host the Houston Wild Riders of the National Indoor Football League starting in 2007.  from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 27-28, sponsored by Sunset Magazine and this year presenting several well-known local chefs. Tickets: $8 (senior $6, children under 12 free).

Healy, Ardolina and Oye

Chef Patrick Healy has departed from Xiomara and Oye, the country-French-at-front/nuevo-Cuban-at-rear Pasadena restaurant owned by Xiomara Ardolina.

Healy continues as executive chef at the Buffalo Club in Santa Monica and as a consultant.

Ardolina has announced the hiring of chef Pedro Deona and the shutting down of Oye as a separate restaurant.

She is merging the Oye concept into Xiomara, 69 N. Raymond Ave., to form a single nuevo Latino dinery.
