DINING BEAT : CHATSWORTH GETS PINK'S.

We're finally in the Pink.

Hot dog fanciers who have been devotees of Pink's Famous Chili Dogs over the years and who live in the North San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

On Feb. 6, Pink's will be selling its famous wieners at the new Winnetka 20 cinema in Chatsworth.

Pink's, an L.A. hot dog fixture since 1939, has long been associated with show biz. Many a famous star has pulled up to the landmark Pink's stand on the corner of La Brea and Melrose avenues in a limousine and sent the chauffeur in for a footlong foot·long

It took a second-generation Pink - Richard Pink, the son of founders Betty and Paul Pink - to decide to finally branch out.

Referring to seeing movies and eating a Pink's dog, Richard Pink said ``It's a perfect combination.''

Perroche, the name of a Kentish goat cheese from England, is owned by two Britishers, chef Grady Atkins and partner-manager Stuart Barker. Atkins' food, with an emphasis on organically grown ingredients, is termed ``country cooking from France, Italy and England.''

Also due to open shortly is Kung Pao China Bistro, replacing Antartica at 11838 Ventura Blvd., (818) 766-8686.

Kung Pao is owned by Jimmy Chi Jimmy Chi was born in 1948 in Broome, Western Australia, to a Scots/Bardi Aboriginal mother and a Chinese/Japanese/Anglo-Australian father. He is a composer, musician and playwright. , who has the Wok Avenue China Bistro at 3711 Magnolia Blvd., Burbank.

Other newcomers are Green Cactus Mexican Grill, 150 N. San Fernando San Fernando, city, Argentina
San Fernando (săn fərnăn`dō), city (1991 pop. 144,761), Buenos Aires prov., E Argentina. It is a district administrative center in the Greater Buenos Aires area.
