Oscar attendees will be eating pretty well at the Governors Ball dinner, supervised by Wolfgang Puck Wolfgang Johann Puck (born Wolfgang Johann Topfschnig on July 8, 1949) is an Austrian-American celebrity chef, restaurateur, and businessman based in Los Angeles.  just after the presentations March 25.

The menu this year begins with a trio of Puck's signature pizzas (grilled vegetables, smoked salmon Noun 1. smoked salmon - salmon cured by smoking

restaurant Fridays through Sundays only, serving food cooked by both its teachers and students. A lunch buffet meal here is $7.95 and dinner buffet $9.95. Sunday's champagne brunch is $15.

Reed all about it

Brian Reed, formerly a manager and/or maitre d' at Delmonico's and then Abiquiu has been named as the intended purchaser of the assets and beer and wine license of the shuttered Regina Coeli, at 829 N. La Cienega Blvd., Los Angeles.

This is the renovated, onetime residential site of the historic Patrone restaurant.

In my recent review of the Polish restaurant Krakus, a reference was made to another Polish restaurant in Eagle Rock named Polska, which, in fact, is spelled Polka polka, ballroom dance for couples in 2/4 time. Originated by Bohemian peasants about 1830 from steps of the schottische and other dances, the polka by 1835 reached the drawing rooms of Prague, from which it spread to the capitals of Europe.  - just like the dance.
