He wrote on his Twitter website: "I'm not employed by the Scottish Tourist Board but what about the slogan 'it's not just heroin & shortbread'." Carr's cheeky gag was posted alongside a stunning photo he took of a Scottish beach on the morning of his gig in Inverness on Tuesday. But tourism chiefs have rapped the comic whose Twitter page has around 148,000 148,000 followers. James Lakie, of VisitScotland, said: "Jimmy Carr is a comedian who aims to shock. "He should keep that kind of material for people who go to see his shows and not post it on networking sites. "It does nothing but hinder the work we do. "His commentsare irresponsible. I don't think anyone believes Scotland is just heroin and shortbread. "Maybe he's watched Trainspotting too many times. Scotland has some of the best scenery and visitor attractions in the world and we expect tourist numbers to be increasing this year.
