DIGIBOARD AND WYSE PARTNER TO PROVIDE HIGH-PERFORMANCE MULTIUSER SOLUTION

 MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 25 ~PRNewswire~ -- DigiBoard, a division of Digi International, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: DGII), announced today that it has signed a joint marketing agreement with Wyse Technology Inc. DigiBoard will become a partner in the Wyse Unity Program and Wyse is already a member of the DigiBoard Partners in Connectivity Program.
 DigiBoard has ported its DigiCHANNEL C~X System to Wyse Technology Inc.'s Series 7000i Model 740MP UNIX-based multiprocessor system. Wyse will reference sell the DigiCHANNEL C~X to its broad network of distributors and value-added resellers. DigiBoard also plans to support future Wyse products.
 The Wyse Series 7000i Model 740MP incorporates True Symmetric Multiprocessing (TSMP) architecture and achieves linear scalability with the addition of each central processing unit (CPU). The system supports 64 to 175 users, and is marketed as a departmental UNIX-based system, file server or high-end PC LAN server. It is a multiprocessor 33MHz 486 system scalable to three CPUs, for linear scalability to more than 80 million instructions per second (MIPS). The Series 7000k Model 740MP runs Wyse's multiprocessor implementation of UNIX System Laboratories' (USL) UNIX System V Release 3.2 and UNIX System V Release 4.0.
 The DigiCHANNEL C~X System is a high performance, cost-effective way to add from 16 to 512 serial ports to micro-processor based multiuser systems. The basic DigiCHANNEL C~X System consists of an intelligent adapter card that resides in the host computer, plus a compact DigiCHANNEL C~CON-16 concentrator that supports a workgroup with ports for up to 16 terminals or other asynchronous devices. A single C~X system supports up to eight workgroups totaling 128 users through a single bus slot. Each host computer can accept up to four C~X systems serving a total of 512 users.

 The Wyse Unity Program was created to build relationships with strategic independent software vendors (ISVs), as well as independent hardware vendors (IHVs). The program focuses on performance and compatibility issues for its UNIX-based multiprocessor systems and personal computer product lines, ensuring a seamless installation of hardware and software systems at the customer site.
 The DigiBoard Partners in Connectivity Program is designed to facilitate co-operation between manufacturers who provide products that are compatible or interoperable with DigiBoard products.
