DICOM Group plc: Board Change.


BASINGSTOKE, England -- DICOM (medical, standard) DICOM - (From Digital Imaging and COmmunications in Medicine) A standard developed by ACR-NEMA (American College of Radiology - National Electrical Manufacturer's Association) for communications between medical imaging devices.  Group plc ("DICOM Group"), a global leader of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, announces that it has appointed William T Comfort III as a Non-Executive Director A non-executive director (NED, also NXD) or outside director is a member of the board of directors of a company who does not form part of the executive management team. William T Comfort III, aged 41, has extensive experience in investing in the public and private markets. In 2003 he founded Conversion Capital Partners Ltd, an investment partnership with offices in London and New York New York, state, United States

. Conversion takes significant stakes in public company in Europe and the US and works with management to help drive value. On 22 August 2007 William T Comfort III and associated parties held 27.6% of the current issued ordinary share capital of DICOM Group.

Prior to Conversion Capital, Mr Comfort worked for CVC Capital Partners CVC Capital Partners is a European private equity firm. CVC was founded in 1981 as the European private equity arm of Citigroup, but after a buyout in 1993 it is owned by its management. In 1999, CVC established CVC Asia Pacific, which is a joint venture with Citigroup.  and advised Citicorp Venture Capital in London focusing on European mid to large management buyouts Management buyout (MBO)
