DICOM Group Plc: Austrian Subsidiary TOPCALL Produces Significant ROI; MFPConnect Enables More Efficient Communications, Cuts Costs.

BASINGSTOKE, England -- DICOM Group plc ("DICOM Group") (LSE:DCM), a global leader of Information Capture and Communication solutions, today announced several installations of TOPCALL International AG's (DICOM Group's wholly-owned Austrian subsidiary) enterprise software solution MFPConnect that have generated significant return on investment (ROI) for the company's customers. MFPConnect is designed to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) for communications-oriented business processes and increase knowledge worker productivity.

MFPConnect integrates with the TOPCALL Communication platform and enables multifunctional peripherals (MFPs) to send and receive business-related documents, and maintain a complete audit trail of all organisational communications. MFPs -- products that combine printers, copiers, scanners and fax machines -- streamline the distribution of documents throughout an organisation and its remote locations. Typically, MFPs are not included in an organisation's communications infrastructure and, therefore, the information that passes through them is not highly leveraged or secured.

Since regulatory requirements such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Basel II govern the management of information and require strict monitoring, recording and traceability of all inbound and outbound documents, the need to reduce MFPs as a potential security risk is critical.

For proper compliance, MFPConnect, along with the TOPCALL Communication platform, guarantees the central archiving, monitoring and recording of all document transmission from an organisation's MFPs. The TOPCALL Communication platform enables organisations to exchange business critical information by managing inbound and outbound communications between people, applications and devices.
