DIANNA MORGAN PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AT WALT DISNEY WORLD
 LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Disney veteran Dianna Morgan has been promoted to senior vice president of Human Resources and Government/Community Relations for Walt Disney World Resort, it was announced by Judson C. Green, president of Walt Disney Attractions.
 Currently vice president of government relations, Morgan takes on the additional role as the Human Resource executive, replacing Jim Passilla who recently retired.
 She will oversee Disney University/Seminar Productions, Employee Relations, Labor Relations and Equal Opportunity programs.
 Morgan will continue to represent Walt Disney World in government matters at the local, state and federal levels.
 "We believe the leadership role Dianna has taken in government and community service as well as her extensive background in Disney culture and operations will bring new perspective to our Human Resources division," said Green.
 She has been instrumental in expanding Walt Disney World's community service programs, and spearheaded the Disney organization's initiatives to create more affordable housing in Central Florida. Morgan recently was appointed to the interim advisory committee for Mayor-elect Glenda Hood.
 She serves on the boards of directors for the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the Orlando Regional Medical Center Foundation, Florida Center for Children and Youth and Give Kids the World.
 Morgan is past chairman of the Central Florida Capital Funds Committee and a member of the Orange County Citizens Commission on Children.
 Morgan has been honored for outstanding contributions in the arts by the Downtown Women's Executive Council, has been named Outstanding in Public Relations by the Orlando Business Journal Up and Comers Award Program, has received the Sales and Marketing Executives' Outstanding Woman in Business Award.
 She joined Disney in 1971 and was supervisor of guest relations for several years before moving to the public relations department in 1976. She became public relations manager in 1978, then left her position in 1986 to devote time to raising her children.
 She was a partner in the public relations firm Hood and Morgan, where she worked as a consultant to Disney on matters involving community and government affairs.
 She returned to Disney in 1990 as vice president of Government Relations.
 Morgan moved to Central Florida with her family in 1958 and attended local schools. Following graduation from Boone High School in 1969, she attended the University of Florida and Rollins College, majoring in communications.
 She and her husband Chris have two children, Bo and Blair. They reside in Southwest Orange County.
