DIABETES WALK IS SET FOR OCT. 9.Byline: Daily News Santa Clarita residents are invited to take to the streets in support of the American Diabetes Association's America's Walk for Diabetes, scheduled for Oct. 9. The local walk will begin at 9 a.m., with coffee and breakfast provided, followed by a warm-up. The walk starts at Bridgeport Park in Valencia and wanders around the scenic Bridgeport Lake and along San Francisquito Creek The San Francisquito Creek is a creek that flows into San Francisco Bay in California, United States of America. Its headwaters are in the Santa Cruz Mountains above Menlo Park, around 667m (2000 feet) above the Bay. before returning to the park. Rest stops will be located along the path providing water and snacks for walkers. All walk participants will be treated to lunch donated by a variety of local restaurants.
