Diana is said to have called Burrell "my rock". But he was ridiculed by the coroner as a "porous rock" for his indiscretions. After his testimony to the inquest, he was secretly filmed saying he had not told the "whole truth" and gave the jury "red herrings". The coroner demanded he return to explain but Burrell claimed he was drunk. The coroner's spokesman yesterday added that it remained open to anyone to make a perjury allegation against Burrell and police would then be "duty bound" to investigate. Scotland Yard yesterday confirmed they were not investigating. But a spokeswoman said: "Obviously this case has just concluded. Any matters would have to be decided in due course."
