LLC - Logical Link Control ("CSAM CSAM Credit Suisse Asset Management CSAM College of Science and Mathematics CSAM California Society of Addiction Medicine (San Francisco, California) CSAM Certified Senior Account Manager "), has declared a dividend of $0.07 per common share of beneficial interest, payable on June 21, 2001 to shareholders of record at the close of business on June 15, 2001. The ex-dividend date is June 13, 2001. The change in the dividend rate from $0.075 to $0.07 results in large part from CSAM's restructuring of the Fund's portfolio to improve the credit quality of the Fund's holdings, while at the same time seeking to reduce the volatility of dividends paid to shareholders. The Directors of the Fund, who also serve as the directors for Credit Suisse Asset Management Income Fund, Inc. (NYSE: CIK), another closed-end fixed income investment company managed by CSAM, believe that the restructuring may contribute to a more stable dividend rate, as has been the case with CIK. To reflect the recent change in the Fund's management from DLJ Asset Management Group, Inc. to CSAM, the name of the Fund will be changed from DLJ High Yield Bond Fund to Credit Suisse High Yield Bond Fund. The Fund's ticker symbol, DHY, will not change. CSAM, the institutional asset management and mutual fund arm of Credit Suisse Group, is a diversified asset manager, handling equity, fixed income, international and derivative based accounts through its offices in 14 countries.
