DHL to Acquire Nine Airbus Aircraft for European Operations.BRUSSELS, Belgium--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 1997--DHL International Ltd. announced today that it will add nine Airbus A300B4-200 converted freighter aircraft over the next year to its European fleet to meet the growing demand for international air express delivery service. The first aircraft arrives today at Brussels National Airport and will begin operating between Brussels and Scandinavia. The addition of the nine 86,000 pound capacity aircraft is part of an ongoing program of fleet expansion to meet the current and projected growth in shipment volumes for the leading international air express carrier.
